The Chicago Jazz Cruise For a Cause
The Ultimate Jazz Event on the Water
Presented by FrostSounds and Chicago Jazz Magazine
On October 19, 2009 from 6pm-10pm join over twenty of Chicago's finest jazz musicians on the luxury cruise ship the Odyssey for a night of dinner and swinging jazz on two different decks.
The upper deck will feature the Chicago Jazz Trio (Tom Muellner-piano, Joel Spencer-drums, Nick Schneider-bass) with six different jazz vocalists performing the music that Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Nat Cole and many others made famous.
Vocalists scheduled to perform: Libby York, Dan Ferris, Ava Logan, Arlene Bardelle and others.
Musicians scheduled to perform with the Mike Frost Project include Eric Schneider, Kelly Sill, Kelly Brand, Neal Alger and many others.
The Chicago Jazz Cruise for a Cause includes:

4 hours of live jazz aboard the Odyssey rated "the best skyline in America" by Travel and Leisure

The Chicago Jazz Cruise for a Cause has been created to not only provide
you - the Chicago Jazz fan - with an incredible way to hear live jazz,
mingle with your favorite local musicians, see the city and enjoy
wonderful views of Chicago, but the proceeds from your ticket purchase
will be donated to
the Vandercook College of Music outreach program designed to provide young, in-need
aspiring musicians throughout Chicago with private lessons.
