Where to go after the Jazz Festival this Weekend?

Here are some hot spots not to be missed after you leave the 30th annual Jazz Festival this Weekend in Grant Park.

Thursday Night
Aug 28th 9:30pm The Ron Perrillo Quartet

Join one of Chicago’s most exciting piano trios along with trumpeter Pharez Whitted for an incredible after jazz fest event. This is not to be missed.

Friday and Saturday Night
Aug 29th & 30th 9:30pm Matt Ulery's Loom

Matt Ulery's "Loom" has been captivating audiences for over 3 years. Thad Franklin on trumpet, Tim Haldeman on tenor saxophone, Jon Deitemyer on drums, Rob Clearfield on accordian and piano, Zach Brock on violin, and Matt Ulery on double bass and compositions.

Sunday Night
Aug 31st 9pm Andy’s Jam Session w/John Bany
Legendary Chicago bassist, John Bany, leads an All Star band for an authentic Chicago Jam Session.

8pm-12am Nat Cole Tribute with Paul Marinaro w/special guest Audrey Morris

In a short period of time, Paul Marinaro is making quite a name for himself in music circles as has developed into an accomplished and respected vocalist. After receiving rave reviews for his last tribute concert to Frank Sinatra, Paul is sure to dazzle with this tribute to Nat Cole.

A special line-up of "The Southport All-Stars" performing artists will be: Bobby Lewis- flugelhorn, Bradley Parker-Sparrow-piano, Joanie Pallatto-vocals, Dave Gordon-piano, Geraldo de Oliveira-drums/percussion, Eric Hochberg-bass, and special guest vocalist –back in town from Cincinnati, Ohio -April Aloisio!

Thursday Night
Aug 28th Alan Gresik’s Swing Shift Orchestra

Featured in the MGM movie "Return to Me," starring David Duchovny, Minnie Driver and Bonnie Hunt, the Swing Shift Orchestra brings the jumping, swinging music of the 30s and 40s to roaring life with its impeccable 15-musician crew. And, it does so as if part on an old-time radio show, complete with an emcee and actors performing era commercials.
