Chicago native Perry Danos has just released his new CD, Swingin’ on the Moon, on Grand Vista Music, showcasing his silk and smoke renderings of twelve classic standards by such composers as Mel Tormé, Stevie Wonder, Harold Arlen and Sam Cooke. Danos has worked with a wide range of artists in the studio, on stage and in videos, from Tony Bennett to Donna Summer to Gretchen Wilson, and is well respected for his work with the American Songbook.
Danos will be back in Chicago in May for a handful of exciting appearances: he will sing the national anthem at the White Sox game on May 7, croon for his CD release party at The Joynt on May 8, and perform at a Best Buy in-store on May 17.
