The Velvet Lounge is planning a major celebration honoring the club’s founder, mentor, and inspiration, Fred Anderson, in tribute to his eightieth birthday on Sunday, March 22. The festivities will begin on Wednesday, March 18, and continue the entire week, culminating in a special performance by the venerable Anderson himself. Special surprise guests will be numerous, many of them from out of town.
