The 2009 Chicago Jazz Festival will be a full three days in Grant Park, September 4, 5 and 6, but will not have a Thursday night event. Though there have been budget cuts, the programming budget will remain the same. Chicago Blues Festival will be reduced from a four-day to a three-day event. The city assures us there will be no diminution in the programming quality of the Fests.
