The 29th annual Frank Mantooth Jazz Festival will be held on Saturday, February 4, at New Trier High School, and features the Chicago Jazz Ensemble with guest artist, trumpeter Nicholas Payton. The festival is known throughout the U.S. as a first-class jazz festival focused on education and the celebration of the big band tradition. Middle and high school students perform throughout the day for some of the country’s finest jazz educators and clinicians, and also participate in master classes, special interest clinics, and sight-reading bands.
