SEVEN YEARS OF CHICAGO JAZZ MAGAZINE
It is hard to believe, but Chicago Jazz Magazine begins its seventh year at this year's Chicago Jazz Festival. We have come along way from our first issue, but our passion for promoting the people, places and venues that makeup the Chicago jazz scene continues to grow.
Many thanks to our incredible writers who are passionate about the jazz scene in Chicago and want to help grow it and expand it for years to come. Most are musicians that are involved with the jazz scene, not only because they enjoy listening to the music but because they are creating the music on a nightly basis. Thanks to them Chicago Jazz Magazine is read throughout the country. Chicago Jazz Magazine has become more and more popular not only in Chicago but throughout the country because of the relevant content that the magazine has been able to provide to readers.
We receive daily calls and e-mails from all over the country from people interested in knowing who is performing in Chicago, what clubs are the best to visit when in town, who has a new recording coming out and wondering what ever became of this club or that musician. The Chicago jazz scene continues to be relevant throughout the world of jazz and we at the magazine are very proud to be able to continue to promote jazz throughout the city and the world. Here’s to another seven years and then some!
