Chuck Hedges for years performed weekly at Andy's Jazz Club in Chicago. I first had a chance to hear him perform in the early 1990's with a great friend of mine, Dave Baney.
The command of the instrument and incredible way he made the music feel when you listened to him play was something that very few players have the ability to create.
He will be missed greatly.
