Critically acclaimed Jazz Vocalist Erin McDougald and her quartet are now headlining The Joynt (650 North Dearborn Street in Chicago) every Tuesday night from 9pm until 1am in the Swing Room of the posh new Riverwest nightclub. Admission is free but there is a $20 minimum per person during the hours McDougald performs.
McDougald has graced prestigious concert rooms across the United States and Europe with rave reviews from Jazz Critics everywhere; her hard swinging style and unique phrasing is most often compared to Anita O'Day and Carmen McRae. Specialty martinis and liquors are featured in The Joynt with various drink specials starting at 9pm on Tuesday nights; a small dance floor beckens swing dancers and couples to compliment the room's intimate listening vibe.
