Holiday Acres Resort, located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, is not the typical place you would expect to hear jazz. But twice a year, you can catch some of the country's top jazz performers in a unique setting. Each Mother's Day and Thanksgiving weekends, Holiday Acres offers special getaway packages that include rooms, meals and admission to the concerts. T
his past Mother's Day, Chicago saxophonist Eric Schneider and his quartet consisting of Nick Schneider, Mike Jeffers and Chris White backed up vocalist Everett Greene for two nights of great jazz in Wisconsin's Northwoods.
