JACOB FRED JAZZ ODYSSEY "Live" In CHICAGO, FRIDAY, JUNE 27 at LAKESHORE THEATER
JACOB FRED JAZZ ODYSSEY (featuring Brian Haas, Reed Mathis, Peter Tomshany & Josh Raymer)
JFJO launch a new round of dates, to support their latest critically acclaimed album Lil Tae Rides Again, with a two week East Coast to Midwest tour that stretches from Massachusetts to Chicago. Much like JFJO's April West Coast tour, the core trio expands to a quartet with the addition of Peter Tomshany on electric guitar. Founding member Reed Mathis will also continue to split duties between electric pedal steel, guitar and bass.
For Lil Tae Rides Again, the 14-year old, Tulsa-based JFJO enlisted underground electronic music producer, Tae Meyulks to man the boards. Recorded over the span of 2007, the album is marked by its psych-jazz and ambient rock soundscapes further defining the band as post-rock/modern jazz visionaries.
