A New Up and Coming Jazz Jam Session will be held on January 23, 2008 from 6:30pm-9:30pm at the new Joplin's Java and Ragtime Cafe located next to the Family Piano Company in Waukegan Il. The jam session will be hosted by the Mike Jeffers Trio with Nick Schneider and Chris White. The session is a place that younger jazz students can come out and sit in, work on tunes, hear and meet other musicians, work with an experienced jazz trio and have fun playing music. It is open to all ages and all levels. The Up and Coming Jazz Jam Session is sponsored by Chicago Jazz Magazine and 90.9 FM WDCB.
