Saturday February 27th, 2010 - Jim Gailloreto's Jazz String Quintet
The instrumentation is string quartet and soprano saxophone; the presentation is an original blending of both jazz and classical music.
Within this unique aggregate, the Quintet pays homage to America's greatest jazz legends, performing expanded versions of jazz standards as well as many original compositions.
The Unity Temple Concert Series, now in its 36th season, presents dynamic chamber ensembles in Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece. With only 350 seats—none more than 40 feet from the performance—and ideal acoustics, live music is experienced with a unique intimacy and purity.

Concerts raise funds for comprehensive restoration of this landmark and support the mission of the Unity Temple Restoration Foundation.
Parking is available at the village garage one block west of Unity Temple on Lake Street. This is a residential area, so limited on-street parking is also available.
Unity Temple Concert Series is partially funded by the Oak Park Area Arts Council, in partnership with the villages of Oak Park, Forest Park and River Forest, and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
