Music by the Lake is a long-held tradition on the shores of Geneva Lake at George Williams College of Aurora University in Williams Bay, Wisconsin which dates back to the 1950’s. Eight years ago, this musical festival was revived and now features a diverse offering of national performers each summer and an original opera production featuring young professional artists from across the country.

The mission of the Music by the Lake summer festival is to present and create excellent musical programs for the enrichment, education and entertainment of our friends neighbors and visitors in the Geneva Lake community. This year’s performance schedule features Thomas Hampson, America’s leading baritone performing his highly acclaimed recital, “Song of America” on Sunday, July 12 , “Madama Butterfly,” Puccini’s poignant opera of love and loss featuring a remarkable young cast on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, Johan Stengård, the premier saxophone player of Sweden performing a program of pop favorites, jazz standards and original compositions on Sunday, July 26, Michael Bolton One of America's greatest singers and songwriters with more than 53 million albums sold worldwide Saturday, August 1, and "Sweet Baby James" — A James Taylor Tribute retrospective of the greatest songs of the incomparable James Taylor, sung by Tony-nominated actor, composer, pianist and singer, Bob Stillman Saturday, August 15.
