NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE JAZZ FACULTY - ON THE ROAD
Internationally-known members of the the NCC Jazz Studies Program are currently performing at major events throughout the world:
Jazz drummer Jack Mouse and jazz vocalist Janice Borla recently returned from Saskatchewan, Canada where they performed at the 6th annual Melville Jazz Retreat.
Jazz guitarist John McLean spent November 17-25 in Boise, Idaho working with the jazz students at ArtsWest High School and playing at the Ballard Jazz Festival in Seattle, Washington on November 20.
Jazz saxophonist Mitch Paliga left for Afghanistan to perform for the troops on Thanksgiving Day with the "Lt. Dan Band" led by actor Gary Sinise (CSI: New York).
Jazz trumpeter Doug Scharf and jazz trombonist T.S. Galloway will be in Washington, DC with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra to play for the 32nd annual Kennedy Center Awards Gala on December 6, honoring Mel Brooks, Dave Brubeck, Grace Bumbry, Robert DiNiro and Bruce Springsteen.
