Forwarded from a family friend to Chicago Jazz Magazine
On 12-11-2011,the Frigo's suffered the loss of Rick Frigo. He was an incredibly kindhearted Father,a loving husband of 49 years,a dedicated family man,one of
Chicago's finest jazz drummers and a loving and caring friend. He also had a great sense of humor.he was one of the smartest people I know.He knew a little bit of
everything.he would always say "tv taught me most of what I know today."He was very news orientated. He loved keeping up with current events.
Rick had been ill for several years. He had been battling liver cirrhosis and recently kidney failure and a weakened heart. He recently spent two weeks in Hinsdale hospital,
then he was transferred to a rehab center in LaGrange. He had come a long way in a short amount of time at the rehab facility. He was improving and getting stronger every
day.He most likely was going to be sent home in 7-10 days. Then, early Sunday morning 12-11-2011 we received the tragic news about Rick.We believe with his weakened
heart,he passed away from a heart attack. He will always be loved and a though away!!
Rick will be Waked this Thursday 12-15-2011 3pm-9pm
The funeral home is called Knollcrest. It's located in
Lombard on Meyer's Rd.It's 3 blocks South of Roosevelt Rd on the West side of the street.
