The Flame of Countryside has closed its doors. For over 50 years the Flame has featured live entertainment and fine food. The Flame's atmosphere was reminiscent of a time when dinning out was an event rather than an afterthought. First opened by Peter Makris and subsequently run by his daughter, Nanci Makris, who recently died, the Flame helped to keep jazz and lounge groups thriving for the past 50 years.
