The Mike Jeffers Trio, hosts of the Up and Coming Jam Session that has been held once a month at the new Joplin's Java and Ragtime Cafe located next to the Family Piano Company in Waukegan, Illinois has become a huge success. The session which originally started to help young jazz musicians work on tunes, hear and meet other musicians, work with an experienced jazz trio and have fun playing music has started to attract the more seasoned musicians as well. All ages are welcome to come out to this event, which is sponsored by Chicago Jazz Magazine and WDCB. The next jam sessions will be May 21 and June 25.
