The Underground Wonder Bar, located at 10 E. Walton in Chicago, has learned that the building housing their club will be demolished in 2009 to make way for new condos and retail spaces. Lonie Walker, who not only owns the Wonder Bar but also performs four nights a week at the club, says, "There will be another Wonder Bar; there will be "Wonder" until it doesn't feel good anymore." The Wonder Bar is a throw back to the old Rush Street clubs of the late seventies and eighties with live music 356 days a year. Stop in and check out this unique Chicago club before it makes way for "progress."
