Rumba, at 351 W. Hubbard in Chicago, has been around for over ten years and serves some of the finest Latin and Caribbean food in the city. Lately, however, the music and atmosphere have become a hot draw on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The atmosphere of the club is stunning. Rumba features a nice-sized stage, huge dance floor and ambiance that takes you back to a time when the Mambo Kings were working their magic. Every Thursday night, the club features the band Rumba 351, which captures the Latin look and sound of the 1940s and 1950s. Fridays and Saturdays Rumba features some of the Midwest’s finest Latin bands. Visit chicagorumba.com for information.

A new venue called Studio 914 is now home to John Goldman’s Quadrangle every Sunday night from 8-11pm. The evening includes a performance, as well as a jam session. Studio 914 is an art gallery, with an atmosphere that is cool and inviting. Studio 914 is located at 914 North California Avenue in Chicago. For more information visit 914california.com.
