The Underground Wonder Bar has found their NEW home: 710 N Clark. Lonie Walker will be celebrating live music and all its wonder until the early morning hours, 4am Sundays-Fridays, 5am Saturdays.
For nearly 10 months, Lonie Walker has been welcoming home friends, family and strangers, even though The Underground Wonder Bar was technically homeless. After operating for 21 years on Walton St, The Underground Wonder Bar said good-bye to their home once learning the building would be torn down. Paul Babcock and Stanley Wozniak of The Joynt @Erie graciously opened their arms to Lonie Walker’s Underground Wonder Bar in late February. This act allowed more time for wonder to thrive while Lonie Walker looked for a new and permanent location. Through perseverance and diligence, deals that almost were and a dedication to her WONDER family and fans; Lonie Walker did just that.
The New Wonder Home at 710 N Clark will consist of two rooms – one street level and, of course, an underground room. Here, Lonie Walker will continue to support local musicians, expand her business, and celebrate even more artists.
