Jimmy Smith Legendary Jazz Organist: Jazz Buffet: / Jimmy Smith: In the late 90s At the Jazz Buffet in Chicago Joey had sang with the Legendary Master Jazz Organist ‘Jimmy Smith’ who had just appeared at Carnegie Hall. - When Jimmy first heard Joey sing he said; “damn Joey you can sing; Your singing with me tonight” – Joey did sing with Jimmy that evening and what a thrill it was for Joey. – Jimmy Smith invited Joey to tour and be his Front man / Vocalist with his band and to also record with him in L.A. California. Unfortunately Jimmy had passed on before Joey could take him up on this once in a life time opportunity.
