John Sturk is a pianist and organist, having worked throughout Chicago as an accompanist for the improv theaters in Chicago. He has been seen at the keyboards of iO Chicago, Comedysportz, Laugh Out Loud, and the Second City Training Center. He is a student of jazz organists Chris Foreman and Tony Monaco.

 

Now, John is branching out as a Hammond organist with his E-Line Organ Trio, featuring guitarist Steve Knight and drummer Courtney McNally. John plays a Hammond SKx digital organ with a LS2215 Leslie Speaker, and is an official artist for Hammond Organs USA.
