MARTINI LUNCH

On stage since early childhood, leader Tim Hays (vocals/upright bass/electric bass) has performed in a span of settings: jazz, r&b/dance, orchestral, musical theatre, and country. His experience ranges from studio musician and record producer to being a member of some notable ensembles, including the fusion precursor to the Dave Mathews Band: Moments Notice. Rounding out the trio is keyboardist/vocalist Eric Hays, Tim’s son – a musical force in his own right, and well-known studio drummer, Brad Schlueter.

As the core of Martini Lunch, this trio can be augmented to fit the needs of the occasion and client, adding saxophone, and/or guitar for a quartet or quintet. Past clients include: City of Chicago, Pepsi, Elmhurst Art Museum, Navy Pier Entertainment, Quaker Oats, Cog Hill C.C., Sears, Chicago Symphony Center, McDonalds, DuPage PADS, and many, many more, plus numerous wedding receptions and private events. Martini Lunch has been on the bill of numerous festivals, park district programs, and clubs in the Chicago area, and is the featured act of the Nashville Film Festival. A favorite with the young hipster audience and well as the traditional, they have a vast song list that covers over a hundred years of American music.

From cool backgrounds to hot swing and retro-soul, Martini Lunch plays the field of musical dreams.
