Simmons’ Downbeat features the vocal stylings of former Washington, D.C. military vocalist Miles Simmons (The United States Army Band, Pershing’s Own) singing jazz standards and songs from The Great American Songbook. 

Having a recruited a fantastic roster of local musicians including, Aaron Zachary on bass, drummer Jon Wenzel, and Kevin Fort on keys this quartet is well on their way to becoming a new and exciting part of the historic, yet ever growing jazz scene here in Chicago. Perfect for high-end venues and small concert venues alike, this Chicago based quartet has performed throughout Chi-Town performing at clubs, weddings, receptions, jazz brunches, and all venues large and small.
