The Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) would like to invite its fans to a historic LIVE recording session for the CJO’s new CD on Tuesday, July 12, at Evanston SPACE (1245 Chicago Ave., Evanston). The session starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature the 18-piece CJO along with vocalist Frieda Lee. The material will span CJO’s expansive music library, and will culminate in a new CD that will be publicly released in the fall. Speaking of the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, they will be performing a special concert at City Winery in Chicago with vocalist Dee Alexander on August 1.
