"Tour Chicago Jazz and Blues History in June with Chicago Detours" Once a year experience explores stories and places locals don’t know Chicago Detours announces a special one-off bus tour for locals who love to explore Chicago neighborhoods. The annual “Chicago Jazz, Blues, and Beyond Bus Tour” on Sat., June 9 during Blues Fest digs into the cultural history of music at landmarks in neighborhoods including Uptown, Bronzeville, and in between. While this tour is normally available only for private groups, this is a rare opportunity for the public to sign up.

“Chicago Jazz, Blues, and Beyond Bus Tour” Chicago Detours will offer this annual bus tour during the Chicago Blues Festival. This memorable two-and-a-half-hour experience ventures to Chicago neighborhoods north and south to delve into the people, politics and culture that made Chicago a hotbed for musical innovation. Video clips of musical performances and historic photos of recording studios, clubs and theaters illuminate the history of Chicago's music scene. A Chicago blues musician even hops on board to provide a blues harmonica lesson while the bus rolls through downtown Chicago! This event has sold out every year since 2011.
