The Hyde Park Jazz Society Sunday Series for April 7th has been cancelled due to a fire at Norman Bolden's Room 43. Below is a letter from Judith Stein from the Hyde Park Jazz Society.

Dear Jazz Friends,

As most of your know by now, there was a fire at Norman Bolden’s Room 43. While the damage was not profound, it was sufficient to close the venue until it can be repaired and approved for re-opening. While Norman has been generous in providing an alternative space for the past two Sundays, that was only a temporary fix. So we will have to cancel this Sunday’s show with the talented pianist Theodis Rogers. We promise to reschedule him as soon as we can.

We hope to have updates on our website and on our Facebook page. Of course, we will also update you with emails. Hold a good thought that the repairs go speedily and smoothly and that we will be back to our Sunday JAZZ series as quickly as possible.
