July 18, 2025 - Vocalist and composer Alyssa Allgood performed four strong, crowd-pleasing nights at the Jazz Showcase in Chicago. A handful of thoughtful standards were woven into each set of mostly original music by Allgood. Her outstanding band consisted of Ryan Cohen piano, Greg Ward alto, Ethan Philion bass, and Jon Deitemyer drums & cymbals.
