In this interview Mike talks with Dan Bindert who has been a central figure at WDCB for decades, serving as both Program Director and an on-air host. He has played a major role in shaping WDCB’s identity as one of the leading jazz stations in the U.S., balancing traditional jazz with newer artists to keep the genre accessible and evolving.
Dan will participate in a panel of radio DJs, Our Jazz Life: “Celebrating the History of Jazz Radio in Chicago” during the International Jazz Day events in Chicago. Other jazz radio talents on the panel include Mark Ruffin, Richard Steele, Neil Tesser and Dave Freeman.
