Jazz Recap: Dee Alexander Quartet Celebrated the Music of Nina Simone at Fulton Street Collective

On February 23, 2023 Vocalist Dee Alexander, one of Chicago’s most gifted and respected female vocalist/songwriters, celebrated the music of Nina Simone at Chris Anderson’s Fulton Street Collective, FSC, in Chicago. Her quartet featured Miguel de la Cerna - piano, Jeremiah Hunt - bass, and Charles Heath - drums. Visual artist Arthur Wright created artwork in response to the music.
