Ernie Watts Performing Feb 17th as Part of the D-Erania Jazz Series

Saxophonist Ernie Watts is coming to Chicago on February 17th as part of the D-Erania Jazz Series being held at the SPAA Theatre & Performing Arts Center, 350 Victory Drive Park Forest, IL.
The two-time Grammy Award winner Ernie Watts is one of the most versatile and prolific saxophone players in contemporary music and is one of the most recorded Saxophonists in history.
Watts is one of the most versatile and widely recorded saxophonist/woodwind master on the planet. Ernie Watts has always, enigmatically transverses genres from jazz, blues, soul and gospel with work on countless Mega Hit Records by artists as divergent as The Average White Band and Sarah Vaughan, Chaka Khan & Rufus to Buddy Rich, Diana Ross to Ella Fitzgerald, Steely Dan to The Blackbyrds, Andraé Crouch and The Righteous Brothers, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye to, B.B. King, James Brown, The Brothers Johnson, Neil Diamond, George Duke, Frank Zappa, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Jimmy Smith and Alice Coltrane. This is the "short list" of the artists he has performed and recorded with.
Ahead of the show there will be a short mini-music workshop produced by the Jazz Desires NFP Organization www.jazzdesires.org! You will be able to meet & greet Ernie Watts and get helpful tips on playing sax. Admission to the workshop is free with your purchase of concert tickets, but you must sign up in advance to attend the music workshop because seating is limited!
