November 28, 2023 - Andrew Meyer presented the arrangements of jazz standards and popular songs from the 1940s-1970s by Tom Padveen, a former trombonist with the Harry James Orchestra. Tom Padveen’s arrangements are unique due to the instrumentation of five tenor trombones, two bass trombones and rhythm section. This music is currently not available to the public and can only be found in the hands of Padveens surviving friends and people who know them. There are currently no formal recordings of any of the music that will be performed. Andrew Meyer trombone, Raphael Crawford trombone, Luke Malewicz trombone, Andy Baker trombone, Henry Sparks trombone, Josh Torrey bass trombone, Bryan Tipps bass trombone, Kevin Fort piano, Jack Sandstrom bass, and TJ Thompson drums & cymbals. Visual artist John Ross Wilson created artwork in response to the music.
