JAZZ PHOTOGRAPHY RECAP: Jonathan Garrett Quartet & Sincerely, Linus Perform at FSC by Harvey Tillis

5/26/26 - Two exciting bands performed at the Fulton Street Collective, FSC, in Chicago tonight. The evening opened with the Jonathan Garrett Quartet performing a strong set of original compositions along with a few jazz standards. Jonathan Garrett on drums & cymbals, Jared Schultz on alto sax, Brandon Harper on piano, and Merrick Wales on bass brought energy, subtlety, and deep interplay to the room.

Then Sincerely, Linus took the stage. Led by Jake Polancich on drums & cymbals, the group moved fluidly through influences from jazz, classical, rock, avant-garde, and electronic music. With Ryan Meisel on saxophones and Matt Rodgers on bass, the band delivered an expansive, creative set full of texture, risk, and experience.

Adding another layer to the night, visual artist Adriana Chychula created original drawings live in response to the music.
