November 13th marked special evenings that reminds you why Chicago's jazz scene remains unparalleled. The Andrew Lawrence Quintet took the stage at Fulton Street Collective to tackle one of fusion jazz's most demanding and electrifying works: Mahavishnu Orchestra's groundbreaking 1973 release, "Birds of Fire." This was an incredible night all captured by photographer Harvey Tillis at the intimate setting of the FSC.
The group featured Andrew Lawrence keys, Zach Brock violin, Chris Siebold guitars, Tim Seisser bass, and Reuben Gingrich drums. The evening featured live painting from visual artist Lewis Achenbach in response to the music.
