The Prolific Reedman’s Latest Album Brings Composed Form and Improvisation Into Dialogue, Drawing on Classical Training While Remaining Grounded in His Distinctive Jazz Voice
Chicago-based saxophonist Shawn Maxwell will celebrate the release of his upcoming album *Frenetic Domain, **a collaboration with classical saxophonist Chika Inoue, *with four shows in the Chicago area running March 26-29.
On March 26, Maxwell & Inoue will be at The Venue in Aurora, IL at 7pm.The following two nights on March 27 & 28, they will perform at Andy's Jazz Club in Chicago. There are two shows each night beginning at 6:00 and 8:15.To close out the run, Maxwell and Inoue, who are both Conn Selmer Artists, will do a free show at 3:00 at the Conn Selmer Chicago Studio.
