Summer Music Program

Join passionate young musicians to create powerful original music!
Students in the Music Department Summer Program will work collaboratively to create, record, and perform an EP of three original songs. The music created will be powerful and express the emotions and thoughts young people wish to express about a social justice topic (topics!) of the student's choice. All instruments and voices are welcome in this program and no prior songwriting or composition experience is needed. Each day, students will take classes in songwriting, composition, instrumental/vocal technique, and repertoire. They will also take a music history course dedicated to the socially- and politically-inspired music of the past.
