Last night (Sunday) the Chicago Jazz community paid tribute to a giant on the jazz scene in Chicago, Rusty Jones. The event was held at the Lutheran Church Resurrection in Niles and was hosted by longtime friend of Rusty's, pastor Bruce Anderson. It was a great night and a fitting tribute to Rusty Jones! Jammed packed with people that Rusty touched throughout his entire life! Here is a photo from behind the band at 7pm (1/2 hour before the celebration started!) The stories that were told and the music that was played really would have made Rusty proud to know all that attended. What a beautiful night for an incredible man and musician. He will never be forgotten! Rusty Jones Tribute at the Church of the Resurrection in Niles had an over flow crowd and wonderful atmosphere celebrating his life.
