Craig Taborn Trio "Brings Jazz in the Moment" to Logan Center on November 6, 2026
For composer and pianist Craig Taborn, performing is an exercise in discovery: staying open to surprise and responding to what unfolds. In a short video interview, he describes drawing on jazz, acoustic music and electronic approaches to create compositions that invite musicians to respond to one another. The result is music shaped in real time, with each idea opening the door to another.
On November 6, Taborn brings that spirit to the Logan Center for the Arts Performance Hall with bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer Kayvon Gordon. A frequent collaborator with Tomeka Reid and Vijay Iyer, Taborn leads a trio whose sound is immersive, audacious and unmistakably jazzy.
