Featuring an all-star lineup of internationally acclaimed artists, the restaurant presents live jazz in the North Lounge and Bar Wednesday through Saturday. A hidden gem for jazz and under-the-radar destination for live music, Benny’s brings a fresh beat to River North, specializing in all genres including Traditional and Swing Jazz, R&B, Pop, Rock, Motown and Latin. Celebrated for its remarkable musical history, Chicago is a “jazz city” at heart, evolving over the past several decades. Benny’s entertainers bring jazz back to the forefront, offering the ultimate destination for incredible live music and a wonderful dinning experience. With a lineup of renowned musicians playing a diverse blend of traditional jazz classics, to modern contemporary funk and fusion styles, Benny’s aims to change the way Chicagoans experience jazz.
The newest addition to Benny’s jazz lineup is distinguished musician Margaret Murphy-Webb, bringing her talent to the restaurant every Saturday evening. An award-winning artist with over 30 years of experience, Murphy is known throughout the U.S. and Europe for her unique vocal style and showmanship. A leader of her own quartet, Murphy made her Parisian debut at popular jazz venue, Le Baiser Salé, and has also performed for European ambassadors, as well as several U.S. Presidents. Murphy looks forward to launching her partnership with Benny’s, assisting the restaurant in transforming Chicago into the jazz capital it once was.
Benny’s jazz performances start at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 7:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, including:
