2025 NEA Jazz Masters Honored in Washington, D.C.

The National Endowment for the Arts honored its 2025 NEA Jazz Masters at a tribute concert on April 26 at the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater. The honorees include:
Marshall Allen: saxophonist and leader of the Sun Ra Arkestra
Marilyn Crispell: avant-garde pianist and composer
Chucho Valdés: Cuban jazz pianist and bandleader
Gary Giddins: recipient of the A.B. Spellman Award for Jazz Advocacy
The concert, was hosted by pianist Jason Moran, and featured performances by and in honor of the 2025 NEA Jazz Masters .
