The Chicago Blues Festival Sunday June 07 concluded the weekend with Taj Mahal and the Phantom Blues Band, Chris Cain, Sue Foley and an azaming star studded performance Women in Blues Tribute to Mama Yancey and Big Mama Thornton with Mary Lane, Deitra Farr, Katherine Davis, Nora Jean Wallace, Melody Angel, Lee Kanehira and Lynne Jordan & the Shivers.
Other blues performances throughout the festival included Jaye Hammer, Mzz Reese & Reese’s Pieces, Fred T, Libby Rae Watson with Bill Steber, Gerlad McClendon (The Soulkeeper), Rick King’s Royal Hustle, Bob Stroger: Windy City Blues Legend, Dan Souvigny Band with Carlos Johnson and A Patch of Blues.
The Maxwell Street Stage at Halsted and Union hosted the Harmonica Hinds Duo, DJ James Porter, John Primer with Steve Bell and Studebaker John’s Maxwell Street Kings.
