JAZZ PHOTOGRAPHY RECAP: Abram Collier Nonet Performs Sinatra’s “Songs For Swingin’ Lovers” at JRAC by Harvey Tillis


May 15 2025 - The Abram Collier Nonet performed Frank Sinatra’s “Songs For Swingin’ Lovers” at the Jazz Record Art Collective, JRAC, in Chicago. This album is often ranked as one of Sinatra’s greatest of its era. Abram Collier vocals/bari sax/bass clarinet/clarinet, Millie Ahearn trumpet/flugel, Neil Carson alto sax/flute/clarinet, Roy McGrath tenor sax/flute/clarinet, Pete Charles Isaac trombone/bass bone, Shanth Gopalswamy guitar, Dylan McGaharn piano, Jesse Lear bass, and Joel Baer drums & cymbals. Visual artist John Ross Wilson created original art in response to the music.
