JAZZ PHOTOGRAPHY RECAP: Folkus Quartet and Kuts/Irabagon Duo Perform at FSC by Harvey Tillis

March 24, 2025 - Exciting original music was performed by two distinctly different bands at the Fulton Street Collective, FSC, in Chicago. First Folkus played their tunes with an energy and level of skills that far exceeded the relatively brief time of about one year that they have been playing together. Solomon Lindenberg piano, Gabe Heinemann saxophones, Owen Frankel bass, and Andy Danstrom drums & cymbals. Then Jason Kuts and John Irabagon brought electronics into their works leading to new creative heights. John Irabagon sax and Jason Kuts piano & keys. Visual artist Alex Puryear created original artwork in response to the music.
