August 19, 2025 - The Heisenberg Uncertainty Players with Sleepy Kitty gave a special joint performance of Sleepy Kitty’s 2014 album “Projection Room”, featuring Sleepy Kitty’s original music and John Dorhauer’s adaptations of their music expanded to include jazz big band at the Fulton Street Collective, FSC, in Chicago.
Sleepy Kitty is Paige Brubeck on vocals and guitar and Evan Sult, formerly of Harvey Danger, on drums & percussion. HUP is: John Dorhauer Director/Composer, Natalie Lande, Kelley Dorhauer, Sam Pilnick, Matt Zmuda, and James Baum on saxes. Grace Mulvey, Jon McQuade, Bennett Heinz, Emily Kuhn on trumpets. Michael Nearpass, Josh Torrey, Andrew Meyer, Dan DiCesare on trombones. Amy Nawrocki sitting in for Chris Parsons on guitar. Stu Seale piano. Dan Parker bass, and Ethan Bouwsma drums & cymbals. Visual artist Ryan Miller created original art in response to the music.
