ABOUT THE SOUTH SIDE JAZZ COALITION
The Mission of the non profit charitable organization the South Side Jazz Coalition (SSJC) is to create a synergy between artists, producers, students, seniors and venues in Chicago by promoting and producing live performance, educational events and business opportunities. The SSJC will also strive to be used as a vessel to bring music education and mentoring, specifically for the proliferation of the American art form of Jazz to inner city youth with a strong focus on partnering with and rejuvenating impoverished communities in Chicago with the hope of returning Chicago back to its rich jazz presence and prominence of the past.
