The fourth annual Rockwell Street Stroll will take place this summer on Sunday, August 11, from 3-9pm. Event partner Burning Bush Brewery will host an acoustic stage in the taproom, and the main stage will be located at Delmark Records, 4121 N. Rockwell. Performers featured include the Delmark All Star Band with guests including Willie Buck, Tad Robinson, Jimmy Burns, Sheryl Youngblood, and Jamiah Rogers, as well as the Soul Message Band, and several solo acoustic artists.

The 51st Street Business Association promotes and sponsors special programs that focus on Bronzeville's cultural history. The Bronzeville Jazz/Music Festival is in its 12th year of free entertainment to the public and the Brown Derby Jazz Series has been in operation for 2 years. The Unity Day Jazz concert has been operating for 4 years. These events exhibit the historical aspects of Bronzeville music. These programs assist in creating jobs and business opportunities for local residents in the industry.

AlgoRitmo
AlgoRitmo is an electrifying group that leans heavily on improvisation and psychedelic sounds. With a unique lineup for a jazz group — consisting of congas, hand percussion, piano, saxophone, bass, and drums — they weave together vibrant sounds and rhythms that captivate audiences and always has them dancing to the music. They will be doing a mini-residency at The Whistler on August 27th and 28th, as a part of the 2024 Chicago Jazz Festival.
